VibeWise is designed to help adults form meaningful, real-world social connections. To protect our community and comply with applicable laws, we enforce a strict minimum age requirement.

1. Minimum Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use VibeWise.

By accessing or using the VibeWise platform, you confirm that:

• You are 18 years of age or older, and
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement

VibeWise does not knowingly permit individuals under 18 to use the platform.

2. Why We Restrict to Adults

VibeWise facilitates GPS-based location matching and real-world in-person meetups between users. We limit access to adults in order to:

• Enable safe, respectful, and age-appropriate social interactions
• Support spontaneous in-person meetups between consenting adults
• Comply with data protection and child safety laws, including Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO) and GDPR
• Protect the wellbeing of our community

3. How We Verify Age

Self-Certification (Primary Mechanism)

When you create an account, you are required to confirm that you are 18 or older by completing a mandatory age declaration at sign-up. By completing registration, you legally certify your age. Providing false age information is a material breach of our Terms of Service.

OAuth Sign-In Signal

VibeWise uses Google (Google LLC) and Facebook (Meta Platforms, Inc.) as its exclusive sign-in providers. Both require users to be at least 13 years old to create an account, providing a baseline eligibility signal. However, VibeWise does not rely on or independently verify age data held by OAuth providers — your age certification is a direct representation to VibeWise.

Enforcement

If we have reasonable grounds to believe a user is under 18:

• The account will be suspended or permanently terminated
• Any personal data collected will be deleted in accordance with applicable law

4. Reporting Underage Accounts

If you believe a user is under the age of 18, please report the account through the app or contact us at:

5. Data Protection & Minors

VibeWise does not knowingly collect, use, or store personal data from individuals under 18.

If we discover that personal data of a minor has been collected:

• We will delete it as soon as reasonably practicable
• We will take steps to prevent further collection

This is consistent with:

• Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO) — which requires appropriate safeguards for the collection and use of personal data
• GDPR (Articles 6 and 8) — which sets conditions for lawful processing and the age of digital consent for minors
